The Israeli Occupation Authorities (IOA) summoned Tuesday evening the wife and nephew of Muhaned Abu Safaqa who was earlier detained after being shot and injured by Israeli police over an alleged stabbing attack in Netanya.
Local sources affirmed to the PIC reporter that an Israeli intelligence officer served summonses for both Abu Safaqa’s wife and nephew for investigation.
Earlier Tuesday, Israeli forces shot and detained Abu Safaqa after he allegedly stabbed an Israeli police officer in Netanya.
Rights groups have routinely condemned Israeli forces for their excessive use of force against Palestinians during such incidents which could have been handled without the use of potentially lethal violence.
