GAZA, (PIC) +-
Israeli occupation forces (IOF) shot dead a Palestinian man and wounded six others during clashes with unarmed young men on the eastern borders of Gaza Strip on Tuesday evening.
The PIC reporter said that 32-year-old Fadi al-Najjar was hit with a live bullet in his abdomen and his condition was described as critical. He was later pronounced dead in hospital, our reporter added.
Dr. Ashraf al-Qidra, the health ministry spokesman, earlier said that seven casualties were being treated in Gaza hospitals, three of them hit with live bullets, one of them in critical condition, and four injured by teargas canisters.
The PIC reporter noted that the demonstrators were raising Palestinian flags and torching tires while marching near the borders prompting the IOF soldiers to shower them with bullets and teargas.
The national action committee for breaking the siege and the youth action group called earlier for participating in daily demonstrations at the flashpoints with IOF soldiers east of the blockaded Gaza Strip. The demonstrations aim at protesting the Israeli continuous siege and the deterioration of humanitarian conditions in Gaza due to power and health crises.
