The Israeli authorities on Sunday handed over three Palestinian children, aged 10-year-old, to the Palestinian Authority (PA)’s forces, hours after they were arrested in Jerusalem’s southern city of Bethlehem.
According to a statement made by the occupation police, an Israeli military patrol arrested three children while they were attempting to hide inside a house located in the Aida refugee camp, north of Bethlehem, after they hurled stones at the Israeli soldiers.
The children’s parents were summoned, the statement noted, before they were handed to the PA security forces.
The three children, Mohamed Rami Aweis, Abdul Hamid Hamam Abu Surur, and Amr Ahmed Abu Surur, were released later on bail of JOD 500 ($700) each.
