Raed Al-Salhi, 21, a Palestinian detainee in Israeli jail has died as a result of injuries he during his arrest by the occupation forces.
The head of the Commission of Palestinian Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs (CDA), Issa Qaraqe, told Anadolu News Agency that Al-Salhi died as a result of his injuries sustained when Israreli occupation forces shot him as he was arrested in the Dheisheh Refugee Camping Bethlehem in August. Al-Salhi had been receiving treatment at Hadassah Ein Kerem Israeli hospital.
Qaraqe said that the CDA is currently taking steps to retrieve Al-Salhi body from hospital and return it to his family.
He added: “What happened with Al-Salhi is a war crime and we hold Israel responsible for his death. He was intentionally shot at close range and he could have been arrested without being shot.”
Qaraqe called for “an investigation commissions to look into this crime and others where Palestinian youth have been shot on purpose so as to be killed rather than neutralised.”
