Israel issues ‘wanted’ posters of Palestinian man

Israeli forces have distributed leaflets in the town of Beit Jala and Dheisheh refugee camp near Bethlehem city, south of the occupied West Bank, bearing the photo of an armed Palestinian man holding an M16 assault rifle who they accuse of carrying out an attack last year near a checkpoint in Bethlehem, Palestinian sources reported.

The sources said the Israeli forces have offered a financial reward for those who provide information that leads to his arrest.

Director of the Palestinian Centre for Policy Research and Strategic Studies, Mohammed Al-Masri, said the Israeli approach shows that its intelligence services have failed for almost a year to find the Palestinian man

despite the human cadres they have on the ground who gather information.

Speaking to Quds Press yesterday, Al-Masri said that the Israeli army is for the first time using the American system of publishing a picture of a wanted Palestinian man and offering a financial reward for information that leads to his capture.

This, he explained, indicates that the Israeli coordination with the Palestinian security services is weakening or retreating.

He called on Palestinian social media users not to share the young man’s photo and to remove the leaflets distributed by the Israeli army in order not to assist it in locating him.
